His experience in inter Faith goes back to a summer in Pakistan in 1985 teaching English to Afghan refugees; since then he has worked and studied in inter Faith contexts in Cairo, Uganda, India and then in Rotterdam for two years coordinating the inter Faith work of a local Netherlands Reformed Church and chairing the West Rotterdam Council of Mosques, Churches and Temples. Since then he has worked in the Anglican Diocese of Birmingham, lecturing Islamics at Crowther Hall in Selly Oak, and then working as vicar of St Christopher’s Church and Bishop’s Inter Faith Adviser. |
